INFATUATE: Poolside with Slim Aarons

I found this amazing book in the inspiration library at my office. The pictures were incredible and captured such a unique style. Most were taken in the mid to late 70's in coastal Mexico, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. This book made me want to go back in time, and then go on vacation when I got there.

The photographer, Slim Aarons (1916-2006), is regarded as one of the most influential magazine photographers of his generation. Since the 1950's, his photographs have appeared in countless magazines, including, Holiday, Town & Country, Life, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, and Travel & Leisure.

Poolside...enjoy!

INFATUATE: SF Tweed

San Francisco Tweed is an organization that meets regularly to take to the streets and cycle in daper attire. Not that much else to say about that really. Below are some pictures from a recent event as well as some nice tweed pieces for Fall.

INFATUATE: Mercedes Gullwing

Mercedes Benz introduced the 300 SL in 1954. It was the fastest production car of its day. 1,400 Gullwing models were made. These models fetch over one million dollars today. If you have the money to buy one, don't worry about crashing it, Mercedes still supplies parts for every car they have ever built.

In 2011, Mercedes is introducing the SLS AMG. This one can be bought for under $200k. If you happen to crash this one, no big deal. Ten seconds after a detected rollover, explosive bolts situated at the top of the door frame fire as bell cranks seperate the car from the doors for an easy exit.

INFATUATE: Aspen Transport

I was in Aspen/Basalt last weekend to attend an amazing wedding for my friends Nick and Surya (www.snugyournug.com, check out the save the date that they made themselves). Everyone stayed at the Hotel Jerome in town and it was fantastic.

I couldn't believe how many amazing vehicles I saw while roaming around town. I tried to capture as many as I could with my iphone. I'm still a bit upset about one amazing red and white jeep that got away. Any favorites below?
